I am a photographer and scientist currently based in Allschwil near Basel in Switzerland after having lived in Belgium, South-Africa, Switzerland, Texas, California, England and having spent various spells in West and East African countries.

I have always been mesmerized by the animal world and, from a very young age, naturalism has guided my life choices and philosophy. I took up photography as a teenager and by the time I was an undergraduate I was a serious wildlife photography enthusiast.

Nowadays, photography acts as an essential and perfectly balancing force in my often frenetic professional life. It wonderfully complements my research travels in Africa, Asia and South America, by allowing me to explore those precious areas of remaining outstanding natural beauty, where life rhythmed by the sun, moon, rains, and bird calls slows down to its primordial beats.
